When I first got the theme of this week’s weekly mini project, I was stumped. But clearly you weren’t! Your pictures show that you are absolutely confident of your work and that confidence is something that I would like to apply to my own work as well. Even though the theme was “loneliness in a time of change”, I can see that like myself, you didn’t think that “loneliness” had to mean sad or miserable, but there can also be a “happy” type of loneliness that can be presented by the lively energy of the objects one shoots in their pictures.
I really liked your pcitures “Lonely Dog” and “Abandoned Seats”. In “Lonely Dog” I really liked the way the dog’s shadow was extended onto the sidewalk creating this “The dog only has its shadow to play with” feeling, which helps me to understand the “loneliness” in this picture. In “Abandoned Seats”, I really liked the was you highlighted the contrast of light and shadow upon the seats while you were editing.

Good job! I really like the photos that you took and the color adjustments that you made. I can see some blue spots on the pictures from the color effects and lighting you set, usually these spots become distractions and even ruin the whole picture by blocking some of the important objects. However, you handled it so well that it looks pretty nice and dramatic on the picture. Some of the things you made adjustment with is that you darkened the minor objects in the scene to emphasize the main object in it. The compositions of your pictures are pretty good as well. For the one you used for featured image, I really like how you put the lines of the edges of the stairs at where it is now, I think it’s a kind of special leading lines that also lead our eyes to another end.
